Harry

Ok i dont really have a good story, but this reminded me of all the names Harry Carey used to mess up. I remember him calling George Bell, George Bush. LOL
I really miss hearing Harry.

Or how about when he tried pronouncing people's names backwards? I really miss the guy. The best the Cubs have ever had.:)

I miss Harry and Stoney. I thought I heard Stone might be coming back at some point. Anybody else heard that?

I use to love when the sun would be slightly hidden and they would pan down on the hitter when he stepped out of the batters box and Harry would say "Only The Shadow Knows". God I miss him :(

I think the best Harry moment whenever the Cubs played the Dodgers he always tried to pronounce Mark Grudzielanek's last name. I think he just gave up and started calling him G-Man if I remember right.

Harry was the best. Too bad he never saw the cubs win a WS. But then again, no one alive has. :(

Harry made watching loosing baseball fun. You could watch the game in late August into September and enjoy it. He was entertaining. Even when he wasn't trying to be funny, he could make us chuckle. His silly goof-ups and his backwards spelling call-outs. He was an icon in cub history. He will never be forgotten.

I didn't really get into baseball until last season, so I wasn't really there for his antics. Kinda sucks.

I always loved the days of Steve Stone and Harry Carey, no matter who the Cubs put in the booth it will never be the same as those two. I lost touch with baseball when all the things had happened with Steve Stone. Can anyone fill me in on what happened with Stone and the Cubs?Harry Carey will always be a Chicago legend and may he RIP. We miss you Harry
