NBA to Review Kobe's elbow throwin'
From ESPN.com
Quote:
The NBA is reviewing a play involving Kobe Bryant late in the fourth quarter Tuesday that was reminiscent of the play that earned him a one-game suspension in late January.
After getting his shot blocked by guard Marko Jaric, Bryant flailed his arms and caught Jaric in the face with 58.7 seconds left in regulation. Bryant was called for a foul on the play.
Bryant struck San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili in the face in similar fashion with two-tenths of a second left in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' 96-94 overtime loss Jan. 28 against the Spurs.
Bryant was not called for a foul on that play, but was suspended for the Lakers' next game. Bryant was suspended for what league disciplinarian Stu Jackson called driving "a stiff arm backward."
A decision on any penalty is expected before Wednesday night's Lakers game at the Milwaukee Bucks.

I don't think he does it on purpose, that's how he shoots. You shouldn't be on his side or behind him, thats what you get.

Did you see the tape?? It looks exactly like the time when he hit Ginobili in the face. He's doin it on purpose. He's one of the superstars in the league and he should no better than to do that. He clearly throws his arm out into the guy. He should know better.

It just makes me angry because he's one of the faces of the league and I thought he was above this kind of thing.

I don't think you can really say it is for sure on purpose, but obviously the league thinks so.

He does it on purpose from frustration. I've never seen a player throw an elbow to the side after he takes a shot....he should have been suspended more then one game. This was the second time it's happened.

Good point, the guy has no reason to be frustrated, now I look at him as a baby.
