Blum swings and misses, strike one. Pitch in the dirt, 1-1. Fly ball to Bradley, he cannot make the catch, Tejada to third, no one out.

Pence with the runners on the corners, swings and misses the slider. The last play was scored a single. Pop foul to the right and out of play on a curve, 0-2. Fastball way high, ball one. Curve ball fouled off. Fastball flies to right, slicing foul. Bradley gives a high five to a cub fan. Fly ball to center Gathright there to make the catch, Tejada tags and scores, 4-2 Cubs.

Last chance for Houston is Jason Smith, pinch hitting. He takes a pitch low and in. Swing and a miss on a curve, 1-1. Grounder to Lee, he steps on first, Cubs win! Cubs win!

Final score, Cubs 4, Astros 2

Thoughts on game

-Z started off slow, but gott better as the game went on. It looked for a little like he could snap, but he didnt. We all know how big that is.

-Offense was shut down most part of the game. And the we only got two runs that were actually produced.

-After Bradely came up slow, Lou should have brought in Johnson/Gathright and put Fuku in right. Would have protected Bradley and shaped up our defense. If you keep Bradely in there, then Soriano has to come down. I know Bradley was the one who had some trouble, but If we have a 2 run lead late, Soriano should not be in the field, especially when he was the last out. Not a good move at all at the end.

-Me and my friend watched the St Louis game at the bar before the Cubs came on (Such is the reality of going to school in Southern Illinois). We said that thier game is going to be indicative of thier season. Well our game could easily be a sign of our season. I still get nervous with this bullpen.

-Sorianos first AB of this year goes a lot better than the last AB of last year. Nice.

-While at the bar, me and my friends broke out some new chants. Ima put them up here on youtube for you guys. They enjoyed it, and I hope you guys will too.
