Game notes:

Floyd is out with a shoulder injury...."left shoulder strain" and is listed day to day.

Soriano ends the homer draught (now if it can only rub off on the other guys)

Jones got lucky and sold his "awesome" catch....it was trapped, but sold it as an awesome catch (when you're winning, eveything tends to go your way)

Izzy got lucky and got the call when he actually struck out.

Lilly looked to start the game struggling with a 26 pitch inning, but calmed down

How much of a machine is Aramis? RBI crazy!

Another good solid baseball game---good fundamentals---good efforts. Wow, this is the fun I have been waiting for since October 1st of last year!

Oh, and if Fox is going to call the games, I think they need to have a class before hand on how to say the players names....

ther-re-o

Angel Pecan? PECAN???????

and where in the heck do they come up with Aldolpho Soriano??????? Are you kidding me?

You're right, Heather. They should at least be able to pronounce the players' names. The last game I saw on Fox, instead of saying Aramis, they were pronouncing it Arra-mis throughout the whole game!

Guess I got lucky. The Cardinals game was on Fox out here and the Cubs game was blacked out on mlb.tv, so I had to listen to WGN radio. This is the first time I have ever heard Pat and Ron call a game, but it won't be the last. I may have to mute the tv and listen to these guys. When Pat said that it was no coincidence that Ron Santo was singing the 7th inning stretch on Cubs Mr. Potatohead giveaway day, I almost fell out of my seat laughing. Just hope you Chicago natives realize how lucky you are.

I love listening to Pat and Ron, and usually do. However, when Fox or ESPN covers the game, there is a very noticable 3-5 second delay between the radio and tv. Was this your first Pat and Ron experience????? they are sometimes more entertainment than the game at times.

The game that Ron's "hairpiece" caught on fire on the overhead space heater in New York has got to be one of the most classic Ron moments ever!

The game was blacked out here in AZ as well, so I listened to Pat and Ron today too. I was hysterical over the Mr. Potatohead comment! They are great to listen to. Since I have mlb.tv this season, this is the first year I've been able to hear them and they are great!

Sadly, it was. This was the first year that I've been able to listen to them, but so far I've been able to watch every game on tv. I'd heard Ron call a couple of games on tv before, but he's so much better when he's w/ Pat.
