I have listened to the whole game as I have the day off. The way Pat and Ron were talking, it seems that the home plate umpire was really squeezing the plate. I thought the strike zone was from black to black and letters to kneecaps. The umpire basically took away the inside corner to the rightys!

Ya, the umps just aren't giving those corners recently. Wuertz did great getting out of that jam and Howry blew the lead...it looks like they've switched places from last year.

The Cubs are paying Howry and Eyre $4 million a piece. This is the second game in a row their poor pitching has put the game out of reach after the Cubs have climbed back into.

Absolutely unnaceptable for how much the Cubs are paying them
