It's Monday...

...and a much needed day off for the team AND the fans!

Here are some things I thought of today....some positive thoughts...

1. While we are not in first, we are only 2.5 games out--the team just needs to keep treading water while we wait for the health to come back.

2. We are 3 games over .500, and that is with a lot of road games under their belt already.

3. The Reds and Brewers seem to be playing over their heads right now... I don't think that either will keep that pace. The Cardinals, however, may be our biggest threat as they always seem to get the most out of their players no matter who they are.

4. The fight and grind they are going through right now could help in their post season play. This team is going to get better. Lou and Jim will improve the pen... the slumpers will start to hit... it will come together. And if they continue to fight and keep in the race, that fight will carryover to the postseason (yes, if we can get there, I know, but I'm trying to be positive here ). Last year there was no fight needed...
Baseball season's underway...
So you'd better get ready for a brand new day
Hey Chicago whattya say?

Good post , I will be happier when I see them react differently to adversity than they have in the past. It seems that they have done some , Soriano is stepping up , I will be very encouraged if he asks Lou if he can take Rammy's spot in the line up. Bradley Is starting to hit and Fukudome is showing good adjustments at the plate. Fontenot is getting the hang of playing third. The pitchers especially Harden have been gutting it up and filling in for Big Z . If Soto comes around and proves not to be a one year wonder it will be great .

If we can boost our run production it will allow the bullpen time and opportunities to work it out.
Christian Morgenstern : And thus , in his considered view ; What did not suit - could not be true
