Wood to rehab in Peoria on tuesday night!

Kerry Wood is slated to pitch one inning Tuesday night in Peoria! And even cooler, Henry Blanco is going to be his catcher!!!!!! I have the night off, but my son is going to his dad's house that night, so I don't know if I'll make it down there or not. We are going Thursday to the chiefs game where my son takes batting practice with the team, so Tuesday is up in the air. If I go, I'll be sure to post some pictures.

I just saw some photos of Kerry Wood from his bowling tournament, and he looks very thin. He doesn't even look like the same guy.

The real test for Kerry is when he has to pitch on back to back nights.

Yeah, he does look thin. Has since ST. I hate to say it, but steriods have to come into the conversation. But not matter what the reason, or what he looks like, I've been reading about 95 and 96MPH and total control. I'm very excited.

I'm really excited! As long as all goes well tuesday night in Peoria, he is scheduled to pitch again for Peoria on Thursday and Friday!!!!! The best part, my son is going to be taking batting practice with the team as part of the Kids Club on Thursday afternoon!!!!!!!!!!! I know Kerry won't be taking BP with the team, but Blanco will be! And Wood will be there at the park!!!!!

I don't think I am going to make my way to Peoria tonight (I went to wrigley Wednesday, and am going to Peoria on Thursday)...that's a lot of ballpark meals in one week...I have to get some laundry done! But I will be there on Thursday so I will get LOTS of pictures and post them. I'm hoping with being able to get into the park for batting practice on Thursday afternoon, we'll get an opportunity to meet Kerry Wood and Henry Blanco. We have to be at O'Brien Field at 3pm on Thursday afternoon and my son will take BP with the team, but that also leaves a couple of hours before the game will start.

Ryno will be missing the entire four game series with the Chiefs starting Thrusday with the Dayton Dragons. He will be in Cooperstown for the HOF induction. However, Bobby Dernier will be in Peoria to help the coaching staff out during Ryno's absence!

We're getting ready to take off for Peoria here in a bit...I'll be sure to get lots of pictures and give a full report when I get back!!!!! My son is so excited that he is going to get to take BP on the actual field (more so than he is that he gets to take it with pro ballplayers!!!!! Go figure.....)
