Big Z

I hate to break it to Big Z, but Morgan was safe. Anyway, Len said that he bumped the ump. To be honest, I didn't see a clear bump by Big Z. Did anyone else?

i just saw a vid on youtube of it. it was mutual really, and Z just kida shoulder shrugged him off. he will likely get suspended for 5 games, so his start will likely be pushed back a day.

It was a damn close play, so I can understand arguing it. But Z needs to grow the **** up

I think he is tired of losing games, I think Z getting fired up might wake and shake up some of the guys, this might be a good thing.

Dam, I was hoping Z didn't make contact with him. I have no problem with players showing emotion on the field. But when you argue a call that much, you better be right about it. And in this case, Z was wrong.

Normally I don't buy into managers/players firing up a team with some kind of incident. But in this case, you might be right.

From the video, the HPU actually moved into Z to instigate the contact. I hope MLB sees the movement by the ump to only give Z fines for throwing the ball and his glove and suspend the ump for a couple weeks for unprofessional behavior.

And besides, Z would appeal the suspension, so his next start won't be pushed back at all until the commissioner's office hears the appeal.

Yea sure , the umpire was the one being unprofessional. Not the player who was aggressively arguing a call that the ump got right. Sometimes we have to step back from the situation, and see it from both sides. The last thing the umpire wants to do is argue with a player. In this situation, the umpire got a very tough call CORRECT. The player starts yelling over the top, and getting in the umps face. And you think this is the umps fault? Come on, think a little.

he may not want to argue with a player i do not deny that, but the ump moved into Z what was he suppose to do just sit there and let him rub into him, of coarse hes going to brush him off, someone bumps into me im going to push them off of me, thats exactly what Z did!
