The last thing the Cubs need is another light hitting infielder. So yes, I gave up on Blanco before he even played a game. He stinks. Scales has played solid. Fox has hit so well in AAA, that it's time to find out if he can do it at the big league level. Fontenot isn't the same player that he was off the bench last season. He's showing that he's probably not an everyday player. We know what we have with Fontenot in the lineup everyday, and it hasn't been very good. It's time to give someone else a shot. This offense can't hit good pitching.

someone else is getting a shot, thats Blanco. Scales is decent, but nothing special.

Yes, but Blanco stinks. Scales has atleast showed some pop, and the ability to get on base. Blanco will be back in the minors in a blink on an eye. He's a poor mans Augie Ojeda.

Blanco is your old school short stop , the kind you saw in the early ages of baseball , all glove no bat. He is another AL player.

As lee said, Blanco is a typical SS. you arent going to have power bats at every position, you need some guys who wont try to drive the ball into the seats every at bat
