About that right handed bat.

I think there is enough out on the market to fill what Piniella wants. The Royals want to trade Reggie Sanders....he's not an everyday player but can still hit the lefties. Julio Franco is also out and availible. If neither one of those guys is picked up then there should be other players availible.

I don't follow the Royals, but I do live in Kansas City. And last I heard Sanders was on the DL (unless he just came off). If he isn't on the DL I'm sure he'll be back on it shortly.

If you are going to mention a RH bat and throw the names Sanders and Franco out there, I guess I should throw a name out there too. There is this guy in Texas, Marquis probably remembers him well- they said yesterday he was up for trade. He makes 500 thousand I think. I have to ask where Franco is going to play? Sanders can play the OF, but he is injured. The guy in Texas would be just as good in RF as Floyd defensively. Poor Marquis would have to give his number up though.

Both those guys are too old.

Sanders is suppose to be back this wee k or next week. He makes 5 million though. I say we just go out and get the third part of the LSU connection and trade for Brad Hawpe- 403,000 per year- 28yrs old- he is LH though. I would like to have either him or the guy named Spilbourghs off of the Rockies- dont know if I spelled either right. Problem is both are young.

All's we need is a guy who can hold up for the rest of the year and give us maybe one start per week...who it is I don't know but I'd like to find out.
