What a "GRAND" game!

Lots of good pitching.... and one heck of a way to end the game. Sure, there were missed opportunities, but by both teams... THIS is what a good team looks like, not that crap we saw at the beginning of the year. I am really liking Lee's patience at the plate... Rammy's clutch hitting... and Soriano, he was due and he cashed in.

Stevens is really impressive, too.... all of the pen did an amazing job, but I was really impressed by Stevens...and Fox did a good job behind the plate..

Stevens did a bang up job, we got him for DeRosa. and I wanted to kill Fontenot last night. Fonz not running on what he thoughts was a foul off his foot... ugh all forgiven with that grand slam

It was a good game, but I wish that the offense would have come earlier, but they still got 5 runs, and that is pretty good.

That is funny how two people can see something completely different.

When I saw that I was pissed at Lou !

Why the hell did he call for the squeeze play ? There was two walks issued before he came to bat , intentional the other not. This guy was missing his mark the whole time and was throwing fastball , slider and was elevating everything , which would make it hard to induce a ground ball out. Plus the wind was howling out with a lefty righty match up at bat.
Why the hell not hit the damn thing in the air and either get a chance for it to go out and clear the bases or at least get a sacrifice and score a run and advance the second base runner to third ? You would have more chances to score by putting the ball in play there than by trying an expected squeeze. You have more chances to force an error with an outfield throw than an infield toss.

That was also one of the worst managed games by both managers I have seen in a long time.

IF the squeeze would have been EXECUTED it would've worked to perfection... They weren't even expecting it. But with Font up he couldn't help but screw up... Someone give me a legit reason why he's still on the MLB roster please. Oh and if I were Roy Oswalt I'd bean Soriano in the head tonight after his charade. But all that being said can't complain about a W.

You had three pinch-hitters to choose from Blanco ,Fontenot and Fox , if you were going to squeeze play who would you have put in ?

Blanco was the best choice . Fontenot should have done it but that is not what he is.

Lou manages this team like he has never seen these guys play. Sometimes I think Lou has a book that he opens and references for such occasions :

Page 1230 par. 365 sec.A When bases are loaded one out have your scrappy left handed second baseman lay down a bunt and start the runner at first pitch.

He needs to make sure the characters on the field matches his book.

Maybe he should hire a casting agent to be sure that his actors match the screenplay .

i thought the squeeze was stupid because the pitcher had just walked the two previous batters.
