Cody Ross, Jeremy Hermida, Mark Teahen

These are all players the cubs have rumored interest in and have had interest in before. I'm guessing the cubs might not expect the classic Reed johnson back this season, so they might be looking at Ross for that reason.

The only drawback is these guys might cost alot for platoon/part-time players as they are still relatively cheap.

Any thoughts??

Teahen would be out we already have one of these guys , he is a carbon copy of Bradley. That would leave Hermida and Ross . I would prefer Ross , his righty - lefty splits are more even and he tends to hit better in day games but Hermida hits better in Wrigley. It is a tough one . I would be happy with either one , a little more power in Hermida.

I would have loved to have Kotsay for this, but the WSox got him the other day.

I know fans are starting to change their feelings about Bradley in a good way, but I just dont think he fits this team. I love his hustle and determination but there is just no consistency with him at the plate from the left side. He has been better of late but honestly when he is at the plate are you expecting something good to happen? Im hoping for a walk and have been getting my wish lately, but I have seen nothing that makes me think all these new cheers he is recieving will increase. I hope Im wrong.

The reason you see him improve is because Lou has put him in the right spot. He should be down where he is. On most other teams I would hit him second but with the perfect number two hitter in Theriot that is not going to happen. So the next spot for him would be the five, six hole to restart your base runners. He can get more out of your bottom order guys because he can take more pitches and get a walk or bloop for a base hit and put pressure back on the pitchers putting your guys after him in more of a fastball count. Because of this we are seeing Soriano having much more success. Plus Bradley will give you the occasional homer.
