This is why

You are stupid if you ever bet on baseball. Harden vs Lehr- who? A pitcher thats top speed was 87 mph and hadnt won a game since 2006. He had the boys eating out of the palm of his hand tonight. Back to back nights AAA Ps for most of the year have dominated the game. It just goes to show how one man can control a baseball game and thats the P. If they are hitting their spots, anyone can be dangerous. Now the way this team approached the game tonight, one might have thought the Cubs were either 10 games up in the division or 20 games out. They didnt hustle at all.

This is why this is not a champion team. I do not care where the finish this team ( Cubs ) will not win the World Series. All champions have a killer instinct and never lets someone off the ropes. This team is far too casual to ever win a championship !

tell that to the 2006 Cardinals. barely a .500 club, and they won the series. It doesnt matter if you have the killer instinct once you make the playoffs. Its all about getting hot at the right time. the killer instinct helps, but id rather get hot at the right time then have the killer instinct

do you see anything with this team that makes you think they can get as hot as the cards did in 06 ?

Just what Jntg4 said. This team is better then the 2006 Cards were. All it takes is getting hot at the right moment, and even the worst teams can win it all

We will see how the do against the Rockies. I am really afraid the bats will sleep this weekend.

They tend not to just have one bad game but find a way to string several of them together
