Lets Wave the Flag- Cubs win

Huge win after yesterday. It started out ho hum with Aramis leading an inning off with a double only to be stranded and also we had 1ST and 3rd with 1 out and didnt score. Lily was awesome I thought w/o his best stuff. Pagan easily the MVP today. Big pinch hit ABs out of Floyd and Blanco. Lets give a call to Howry and Demps today too. 6 outs, 6 batters faced, 4 Ks. We had some bloopers and flares fall for us today and 4 Sox errors but Ill take it. I feel alot better today.

I still don't. We had runners in scoring position twice with 1 out and couldn't score. Dempster bounced back nicely, but we still need consistancy...

Our win was how teams normally beat us...

I appreciate your enthusiasm, Skipper11. Dempster just needs to save about 20 more games in a row before he's made up for yesterday.

GO CUBS!!!

What if........

we had a bullpen which was performing as expected. if they were able to save/hold 7 wins out of the 12 they've blown, we would be 26-14

I have a 12 pack bet per game in each of the 2 series against the sox. I'm hoping for 2 sweeps. What kind of beer should I request? Warsteiner? Fosters? any ideas?

chinmusic it always makes you feel a little better after a W. I mentioned the failure to execute early in the game. Oh and who said Aramis dont hustle? He busted it today, all day long.

I was so glad to come home to Pagan hitting that 2 RBI hit. It was nice to see them come back and win, even if most of it was done because of terrible defensive plays by the White Sux.

I know people might not care what I think anymore but if Dempster doesn't pitch in 5 days then goes in to close one, he blows it. He needs to pitch in a game every 2-3 days to get on a roll, thats just Dempster.

The one thing that really stuck out for me today is that for once, the Cubs got breaks and took advantage of them. They were extremely aggressive on the bases, especially after the seventh inning.
