We must have been the only ones watching on TV. It has been dead around here for days but after we take 3-4 from St. Louis and takeover first place it will liven up!!!

Come on guys, it was way too nice of a day today to not call in sick and catch the game. After burning up in the bleachers for the last month, it was a sunny but cool game today. Perfect for getting away from the internet and putting down a couple of Old Styles.

I, for one, was at work, but I was listening to the game on the radio.

Yeah, it has been dead around here because peeps have been super down about the last week and a half. I know I have. Two wins in a row won't cut it for me, though. I'm greedy. I want more. We may be in first when the Brew Crew chokes on another one here in about...check that. WE ARE IN FIRST!!!!

The Cubs need to hold this for more than a day for me to be happy.

Did anyone see the "highlights" of the Brewers/Reds game tonight? It was awful!!! My fiance said she couldn't watch because the Brewers' defensive errors were SO, SO bad. It was like watching little league...
Worse...

I think they looked a lot like tee-ball rather than Little League. But hey, the Cubs are in first place! I think the pressure we and the Cardinals put on them over the last couple months have made them crack faster than an egg shell under an elephant's hoof.

It is good to see some spirits up for once.

Hill went more than 5 innings and the bullpen was pretty good too.
Now if the offense could just get going... Boy does Lee look lost.

Sorry, guys! I have been working a little extra...and have a problem with one of my eyes right now! I have an awful infection in one and it is really hard for me to look at a computer screen! It's getting better now, and I have to wait until it completely clears before they can go back in and see what they can do to fix my vision problem. But, I HAD to jump on now! I've been waiting for this for way too long to let a little sight problem hold me back! I should be on during the game tomorrow! I wouldn't miss it!

Sorry to hear about your eye Heather. The 3rd shift boss where I work has been suffering with "pink-eye" also. He's just a squirt, about 5-1/2 feet tall. He asked me where it comes from, and I told him it's something that kids, and people that are less than 54" tall get.
