Someone needs to pull a side Soriano

They need to explain to him Cub fan's voo-doo thinking . If he comes back to hit lead off and fails , he will become the goat. Just like Bartman , the black cat and , others , he will be blamed for everything falling apart. He will be hated by the Cub nation.

We all know this is the case even if it seems silly.

I know what you are saying here about Cubs fans always looking to blame somebody, but are you suggesting that the Cubs have been playing well w/o him? I think that most Cubs fans realize that they are not going to win the division playing the way they are now. The only reason we've taken over first is because the Brewers have choked and I'm pretty sure most cubs fans realize this fact as well. I really don't think most Cubs fans would blame Soriano unless he goes 0-September. Besides I think you underestimate the Cubs fans' ability to blame everything on JJ.

I don't think Soriano will ever be put in that classification, I doubt he will be the one to blame if things don't go smoothly for the rest of this season. What was the voodoo for the 2004 Season LaTroy Hawkins?? haha

Theres no reason to explain anything to him. He has shown he produces and thats enough for me. Its silly, and thats what the players think too. All the players already know its a big market with a small, loud minority that boo at all times (Hey, its what the trash at 670 want) like the guy who would write Jones a racial rant or throw a ball at him, they are not Cubs fans. The majority of Cubs fanatics love the team yet still question things in a quest to make things better, not get into a guys head.

Yup. Hawkins was mis-used just like the rest of the below average bullpen in 2004. Its a team, "blame" should be even.
