Dunn??

why? ESPN is reporting that the Tigers want Bradley and if that goes through then we will have the money to get Dunn. I understand the true LH and the power, but can you imagine Sori and Dunn in the same OF. If I was Lily and Harden- flyball pitchers- I would become scared to pitch.

If we are going to do that why not just put Fox out in right and save the money. This lefty thing is overblown to a certain extent. Even better why not get rid of Bradley, recall Fuld and move Fuku to RF. That would improve our defense tremendously.

BTW, the move in the offseason should have been Abreu.

The money would never be available... We'd have to eat a lot of Bradley's contract and probably Dunn's too. If the Cubs got Dunn I'd cry.... I still think Bradley has more upside than Dunn.

Steve Stone and DAve Kaplan are reporting it, pretty much nobody else, which says something. How would we have the money to get Dunn, the cubs would have to cover a bunch of Bradley's salary at best it would be a wash

I agree

Ok I am going to flat out say it. Fuld sucks. When he is playing everyday people will see him for the limited player he is (like Hoffpauir). This is a guy who is 28-y/o with an extremely mediocre minor league line. minor league #s are the best predictor of major league succes and this is a guy who repeated at both AAA and AA. Obviously a cheaper alternative to Reed johnson (or the $1 million wasted on Gathrigh), other than that not interetsed. Taking Fukudome's arm out of CF would also take the defense down a couple of notches.

you obviously aren't concerned with OF defense if you wanted Abreu, one of the five worst defenders at any position in the league.

There is some sick little person inside me who would like to see this trade happen.

I would love to see Leyland use Bradley in the proper roles and fully utilize his tools. It would be wonderful to see him succeed and have all of these Lou sicafeits say " gee , why couldn't he have done that here ? "

and by the way , damn Jim Hendry to not know that a 37 year old ( if that is his real age more like 42 ) player would have his career this year !
