He has been impressive so far, his eye is just excellent, yes he can take 5-7 pitches per AB, but if he sees a pitch that he likes on that 1st ball he will swing away, thats always a great sign of a good hitter. Long may it continue, but he certainly has arrived in style.

Right now he is the man I want to see batting with men on, I have total confidence in him, he has patience, works the count, great defense, just an on base machine.

this is why he shouldnt be leading off. Heis a run producer. He cant produce many runs leading off. leadoff hitters dont get many chances

Reed Johnson should play everyday and leadoff.

Soriano will not be taken out of leadoff... unfortunitly. He isnt hitting anywhere he is put, so what does it matter if he is leading off or not

It matters because you need to have someone who does get on base in there for the leadoff spot. Would you rather have Soriano who can't hit right now get to the plate 5 times in a game, or Reed Johnson (or someone who is hitting) getting those extra plate appearances, let alone the dynamics a leadoff baserunner can add to the first inning alone! He gets on base, you have more of a chance of getting those big bats a chance to bring him home.
