I heard that from someone that played for Lou. If that SOB was fired 2 years ago , it would have been different.
As if there has been some drastic shift in tactic under Quade. You know why the Cubs have won 5 of 7? Because they played the Pirates and Nationals!

Dempster got rocked today. I guess it's because Quade forgot to "talk to him".

I like Hawpe. He will be a nice addition to the Rays. Bit I'd rather the Cubs go after a younger, cheaper player with potential. Jeremy Hermida fits that bill. He's still just 26...why not give him a shot? The Red Sox just released him. Sign him for the rest of the season and let's see how he likes Wrigley!

He has crushed in Wrigley in the past- Hermedia- but so has the rest of the Marlins. I like him as well.

Yes, and the genius plan Mike Quade has implemented in just over a weeks time as manager of the Cubs, has solved the Cubs problems against the Pirates this season...

Look...Mike Quade isn't doing anything THAT different than Lou. Infact, he's probably doing the exact same thing, except being a little more hands off. Stop trying to spin this into something it's not.

spring training?? give me a break.

He was eligible for Rule V draft two years in a row and amazingly no one took him. I guess 30 other teams saw the same thing.

Like I mentioned, he didn't significantly improve at AAA his third time through, and thus didn't give the Cubs a reason to roster him ahead of other minor leaguers who performed better than he did those seasons.
