Rammy

Any word on why Lou took him out. They claimed double switch, but if that was the case they would have put Pagan in for Floyd or Cedeno for Theriot and put Petrick in that spot. I wonder if he aggravated his injury when he busted it out of the box in the first inning. I would not think Lou would take out his best hitter down 5 with 9 outs to go. Maybe he is just resting him - I sure hope so.

Lou probably saw the blow out and took him out for some rest. *crosses fingers*

Yea, hopefully it was just to rest him. I just read the post game statement and nothing was mentioned. I just thought it was weird to take him out right there, with the ball carrying so well tonight.

The Cubs were down 10-1. No reason to leave him or Lee in...

They took him out when it was 6-1 in the bottom of the 6th. It was not 10-1 then.

After his first AB, Buck said Rammy went back to the duggout shaking his head. I was thinking he was just pissed because he missed a pitch he should have killed. He ran hard down the line though.

He was probably taken out for the same reason that Petrick and Ohman were in the game. The Cubs saw that Milwaukee lost and they gave up. No harm, no foul. Why waste the extra manpower...

WE got to give him rest whenever we can so he is geared up and ready to go for the stretch run.
