Castro scores first run of the season on a throwing error

And it didn't look much different than what we saw all last year. Why would it ?

Stranded runnners , lack of hitting , poor defence , slow guys hugging the bases.

With the exception of Dempster, who I'm not expecting a good year from, the starting pitching looked solid.

I am not worried about the bullpen.

The defense...is bad! Aramis looked slow... Castro looked sloppy... Even Pena, a very good defesive 1B, booted a ball.

Castro would be perfect in the 2 holes...not as a lead-off hitter.
Barney should NEVER be put at the top of the order again!
Marlon Byrd is NOT a 3-hitter.

My ideal lineup:

Fukudome
Castro
Soto
Aramis
Pena
Soriano
Byrd
Baker

You know, the first sign of retardation is laughing for no reason...

The statement I made still holds true. Castro is the ideal 2-hitter(contact hitter with speed...perfect for hit-and-run scenarios). Meanwhile, Barney should never be at the top of the order. Furthermore, he shouldn't be a starter on a good baseball team. Barney has just 4 SB's, 8 BB's in 248 AB, with only 11 extra base hits...which translates to a .321 OBP and a .359 SLG.
