Cardinals winning the WS

just the cubbies luck. the division was poor this year and for that matter the playoff teams. all the cubs had to do was put together a decent year and they might have had a shot. first the red sox, then the white sox, now the cards? what's next, the brewers or something? the cubbies better win something quick.

Hey, look at the bright side. The Cards won it all with a lousy record in a terrible division. Now that we have a good manager, there is a chance. It may be a long shot but it is still a chance. All we have to do is compete for the division. The Cards will have to rebuild because a lot of their players are free agents or getting old. The Astros are missing a lot of pieces (Clemens and Pettitte might retire). The division is wide open!

If the Cubs put up a decent team this year (which they are doing) we might actually have a chance to win or having a winning season next year...the Cubs play better in the central division than anything all we have to do is keep kicking the Cardinals Butt along w/ the brewers, astros, & pirates.

The Brewers better not win it. I hate the Brewers with a passion. Even when we were a decent team a few years back, when the Brewers were horrid, they tormented us everytime we played them. Go figure. "Cy"- Capuano makes me cringe when i see we are facing him. But then again any lefty starter we are facing makes me cringe.

I believe the Cardinals only had one bullet in their chamber and they shot it last year by winning the WS. Its very very hard to repeat these days. So we have this going for us.

Astros- who knows.

Reds- interesting team. Could be better, could be worse. Depends on their pitching.

Stros are the only team in the NL Central I worry about, St. Louis has gotten weaker every year since 04. And now St. L pitching rotation is laughable. Milwaukee doesn't have any consistent .300 hitters and their defense is horrid. Pitt & Cincy lack bats AND pitching.

Milwaukee lacks power especially since Lee left...Bill Hall and Prince are their really only power threats. Weeks has the potential to put up good power numbers. I like their pitching staff IF Sheets can stay healthy.(he reminds me of Miller)

They still may be to young of a team to compete for the division.....I predict 3rd or below...IMO.

I think the brewers might open some eyes this year, the front end of that rotation is formidable and who knows? one or two guys might have a breakout year. Im not saying they'll take the division, but they might make a run at it.

I used to never get the flu. In 2005, literally 2 days after the world series, I got the flu and I had the flu after St. Louis won it. I swear, these teams I hate so much are ruining my immune system with their world series rings.
