Not to mention the injury and age factors of the other teams in the division. I know, a Cub fan should be the last person to bring the injury factor in when talking about other teams, but look at Houston.... They have a very old, battered, injury prone defense...especially the infield. When they are healthy, they are great.... but the older they get. Biggio is giving Julio Franco a run for the "oldest living active baseball player" award! St. Louis has lost quite a bit of pitching, and really. Reds...yikes....Can Griffey play a whole month without getting hurt? It should be interesting to watch the division unfold in the first few weeks.

The Brewers rotation is is pretty good. They do have some offense, I could see them doing good this year. I think the Astro's will be like last year. There till the end, but won't have enough to make it.

I agree, the Brewers are a team on the rise. They have good starting pitching.
The Cubbies will need to play well against the Brew crew,They could compete for the division this year.

I have to agree with you about puking when the deadburdz pulled it off. Their season appeared to be over they Tigers had a terrific start to the season and then the wheels came off. The TV ratings for the WS were very low in 2006. The Cubs WILL make it the odds are starting to get in their favor. Baker is history "Uncle Lou" will be kicking some butt. The Tribune decided to spend some serious coin, now they have to go out and get things done on the field.

The fact that nobody outside of st lou and detroit didnt care about the series this year doesnt comfort me much. The fact remains that our two most hated rival have taken the last 2 rings and it makes want to vomit. There, I said it.

Sounds like you got kicked while you were down just like our Cubbies.

Hey, folks. I'm new to this web site. Its hard being a Cubs fan when I live in the Saint Louis area. Its good to see so many other folks that can't stand the Cardinals. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Hope to get to know you all a lot better.

Thanks,

Jim
