In a way, tonight is the start of something big for the Chicago Cubs organization. Javier Baez becomes the 1st of their highly-touted prospects to make their MLB debut, as he started at 2nd base & batted 2nd in the lineup. So far, he is 0-5 with 3 K's. However, the future continues to be very bright for the North Siders!!
Baez is gonna hit 30 homers a year - but he's also going to strikeout a ridiculous amount, while playing meh defense. Think Pedro Alvarez or Mark Reynolds.
The Cubs are absolutely devoid of starting pitching. We're in for 2 more losing seasons.
Please allow me to introduce Mr. Soler...Jorge Soler. The future is here and it is very bright. Lets get some starting pitching and see where this takes us. OOOH and lets get Joe Maddon to lead the way.
