Hendry on ESPN 1000....

(Sounds like Murton will be traded, last paragraph)

Hendry on ESPN 1000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hendry on ESPN 1000:
Try to add another piece or two
Try to be aggressive in who they're looking at
Can't predict whether trades will happen
Hopefully we'll add another couple guys
Fukudome WILL play Right Field
Listed starters in this order:
Zambrano, Lilly, Hill, Dempster, Marquis, Marshall, Gallagher, Hart
Says Gallagher get's most action on trades from other teams
Non-committal on who the closer is
Eyre, Wuertz, Wood, Marmol, Howry, Ascanio, Hart, Cotts all listed by him as likely bullpen guys
Won't talk about Prior today, he'll answer any questions on Mark tomorrow (read: he will be non-tendered)
CF will be either Felix Pie or Sam Fuld
"May be looking for another outfielder that can play all 3 spots, maybe not a starter, but a RH bat that can play all 3 spots"
"I'd be more than happy to see DeRosa starting at 2B on opening day"
Murton "Unfortunately he's a right handed hitter, and I think we all feel Matt's a left fielder. We'll try to do what's best for the Club and Matt, and if that means finding a home for him on another club that's what we'll do"

Here is an interesting "theory" I heard talked about today..... the Cubs have a solid second baseman in DeRosa....and yet they are actively pursuing Roberts to play second... NOW, (here comes the interesting theory).... the Mitchell Report is supposed to come out tomorrow (Thursday)....is there the possibility that DeRosa's name will be on that list?

Great point Heather, that was why I think MacPhail got rid of Tejada before the report was due,we all know Tejada is on the report....I hope ARAMIS is not on the list, usually when you take steroids for awhile and then stop ,you tend to get injured alot and easily and we know Aramis was injured a few times, that would mean Dero would move to third base and maybe thats why JH is going after Roberts .
