I feel much better going into the 2008 spring training. Even with the current roster, Piniella will have a much better feel for what he has than he did a year ago. That should translate into a much better start to the regular season. If what I am posting comes to truition, the Cubs should be able to jump ahead of the pack and establish a cushion over the runners up in the division by June 1st. A much better picture than what transpired a year ago.

Should be wide open in the central. I hope we can make another free agent pick up or two.

I start work at 6am (Cst) and I am usually up around 430.

There are some season when I am very optimistic, and feel like its a good year. 03' was expecting much, 04' very enthused. 06' was very optimistic. this year, more so

I can't say how close it will be, but in the end the Cubs WILL win! (Why not be optimistic?)
