Best move we can make

I think it is safe to say, the best move we can make is getting another Starter. We can talk about CF and Catcher all we want to, but Marquis and Hill and maybe even Marshall are all hit or miss. I mean I dont mind them losing 3-2 or 4-3 and give us 6 or 7 innings. Marquis has done this crap too many times. I would rather see Guzman or Gallagherr than this guy. He has good numbers, but he is either great or terrible. We cant have that.

Today is a day we need to break out the long ball. It is going to be hard to string a lot of back to back stuff vs. this guy.

We actually did put some things together and also hit the long ball . Wow - 6 run inning. Marquis needs to catch his second wind and put up some zeros. The offense has bailed him out so far.

And a 3-run HR at that from DLee! How about that 2nd inning?

marquis is a notoriously bad 2nd half pitcher. everyone has talked about his "improved" performance over the first half compared to his career, but he's actually done what he's always done: set himself up for a fall

Marquis has always tended to tank in th second half but there are worse options for a 5th starter (which is what he is). As for an upgrade it wouldn't be terrible, but the only thing we'll wind up getting is a guy like Steve Traschel. Is he worth giving up prospects for?

No, not Traschel, But Vasquez maybe although he makes 12.5. O swalt would be perfect but that will never happen within the division. Lowry and Morris from the Giants are both out there, but we dont need another lefty. Morris, on the other hand, I have really never liked.

Morris is a veteran prescense. I think he is still a number 3 probably....I'd take him over Marquis.
