Listen to these guys people....it's just the first week, guys like Mateo and webb wont be with the big club and guys like Hill, Howry and Ohman are just tuning up. Not to mention this was probably their first competitive appearances thus far....if not the first then no more than 2 being this is just the first week....Remember all those times the Cubs won the cactus league only to suck ***.....i'd rather lose the cactus league and win the division and with the team we have that's a possibility.....the pitchers will get their **** straight and the hitters will start hitting and Lou will start bitching so sit back and enjoy it's gonna be a fun season.

Thanks for the sum-up

I loved the bitching part about Lou.

But saying "IF" as a cubs fan, is what it's all about. After Believing
I like your optimism. It is very admirable. I have been believing for about 20 years now. But believing doesn't win on the field, players win on the field. But i admire your optimism, i wish i could be more optimistic. I guess watching the cubs for 20 years is enough to make me somewhat pesimistic.

Hey, I understand, I have been a born cubs fan since 1990. I didn't understand that the cubs havn't gone all the way probably until 1997 and became a huge fan in the 2000's. But look at mickeyrom. The guy has been a cubs fan since 16 and is now 70. And I think, he is still believing, strongly. Because the cubs are gonna get him a WS. They are gonna get us all a WS. And then, we can all party.

I forgot, you said

First, I will say that I totally disagree with you. I play sports, and in order to win, I have to believe. So that's my $.02

Well, does it look any different than 2006?C'mon be honest.Four games and they didnt look good in a single one yet. Some of our minor league pichers look like prime releases for assignment.Look at it this way, there is nowhere to go but up.

I totally agree with what Webgem said but I agree with what you said also. But you have to realize, it's spring trainging, four games these guys are still a little rusty, especially the pitchers. Once everyone gets their mechanics bad we will be completely fine.

Look at the title of this thread Dlee.I know its spring training, but isnt it spring training for the other teams? Its not the losses that bother me,it's the way they have been playing.I could care less if they win one game,I want them to produce in the clutch and to stop throwing 89MPH fastballs right down the middle.Do you think I'm too negative?

I never said they didn't look good but I'm not going to base a whole 162 game season on four spring training games.
