Peavy

Im sure this was discussed plenty in the offseason , but I was wondering what the Pads are wanting for him. We need a guy that give us 7 innings or more 80 percent of the time he goes out. I know our staff is aready probably if not the best very close. The problem is our pen is going to kill us.

heilman is going to be the end of all, he is horrible at keeping his cool in games, he got chased out of New York for blowing i games, and now he is here with the cubs and is going to mess up games

I'd rather go after Hallady now that he's on the market

Better pitcher, shorter contract.

I agree. Halliday would be "lights out" in the NL. Peavy is a Tommy John surgery waiting to happen.

That is just not true at all. He had one bad year last year but for the three years before that, from 2005-2007, he was one of the better relievers in the MLB.

Stats (2005-2007):

IP: 281 ERA: 3.27 WHIP: 1.128 ERA+: 128 SO/9: 7.8

So you saying that he is horrible is completely wrong and an ignorant statement because the stats clearly show that is a very good pitcher who had one bad year.
