More wins in '09 Zambrano or Dempster?

Well, it is only the beginning of February and cold as *beep* outside... so why not a poll.

I think Big Z will have a great year and have more wins.

I think the way 2009 ended for him personally, and the fact that he was to have LASIC surgery on one of his eyes, I think Z will end up with more wins, although I think both he and Demps will have great years. We might see them both share the Cy Young this year.

I can't help feeling that Z is due for a big year.

I'm thinking that no no at the end of the year last year was enough to motivate him to strive even more for perfection! I think Z will win more.... but it may depend a LOT on our bullpen...

i think Z is due for his big year simply because he shouldnt feel like he is having to carry the team. Hes now got Lilly Dempster, and Harden behind him hopefully that that no no will give him some inspiration that he needs to be the leader and take the team home, but know that if he screws up one game the guys behind him are just as good to win the next

you'd think Z but....

i'm more impressed with Dumpster and his off season workouts and commitment to the CUBS

than i am with Zambrano and his waffling commitment to the WBC....

i'm also more impressed with Dumpster and his methodical delivery. consistency is always a key element in the great ones.

so while Z has better stuff - his delivery is still erratic and he's a head case.

either way - the BP still dictates a lot of the W/L stats for these guys. they could pitch 9 2/3 innings of perfect shut out ball - only to have a chump like Howry come in and give up the lead on one swing.

So why still call him Dumpster?

I agree Demps was an all-star last year... enough with the 'Dumpster' nonsense.
