Orioles

Seriously? This team is subpar and they are not only knocking us around the field, but their young pitchers are making our offense look retarded. We should sweep this team at home. I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable. I guess that is the by-product of playing in a series like this past weekend against the Sox and then trying to get hyped up for a team like the Orioles. This is where interleague is retarded.

I am very disappointed as well. Our starting pitching has not been good this series. We lost 2-3 to the Nats earlier this year, and i liken it to that series. The cubs are flat and this is big let down following the high we had after the Sox series. We should not be loosing 2-3 to the O's, but this series was tailor made for them. No Z, no Dempster, no Soriano, no Fukudome (after game 1). The O's had everything in place to sneak attack us.

Darn!!!

It is definately series like these that make you ask yourself if we are good enough. I know we have players out, but so does most people. The thing is we played the ALEast AND no Yanks or Sox, but went 3 and 6. I mean wins all add up but the second half is gonna be much tougher than the first half.

How is it retarded? Because they couldn't sweep?

Dude, it's baseball... 6 months of a game... you're not going to win everything... you're going to lose games you "should" win, and you're going to win games you "shouldn't"...

Why does it seem as if this is your first go-round?

there was a huge emotional let down after the Sox series. I was hoping for but not expecting a sweep. Marshall wet the bed, as did Marquis. The defense wasnt great either. Im disapointed, but not angry.

It is retarded because of series like this where it's hard for the team to get into it and thus they blow what should be an easy series. A home series against a light hitting young team should be at least 2 out of 3. They obviously weren't into it and it showed. They weren't patient at the plate and their starting AND relief pitching was less than stellar. They have beaten better teams with greater ease. This wasn't like getting beaten by Tampa in Tampa. At least that team is good. I liken it more to when the Cards got swept by the Royals at home. It's disappointing and you leave scratching your head thinking WTF?!?! I completely understand they aren't going to win every game or every series, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. Maybe they will recover like they did last week and take it out on the Sox again. We'll see.

the Royals are to the Cards what the Tribe is to the Reds, and what the Sox are to us. It is their same state battle.

I like it, gives us a chance to see other teams and play them. If they cant "get up" for the series, then they shouldnt be in the bigs. It is just another team, who cares if you only play them ocne every few years. They are a team like any other
