I'm glad someone else is happy about this trade. There was another thread and people were either unsure or kind of complaining about it. Seriously? Does nobody remember him with the Pirates? He was their best player for years. He may not be the stud he once was, but it is sure a helluvan upgrade from what we have now. Soto has a lot of potential, but he is way too green. I think Kendall will a great role model and mentor for him. Look for the Cubs to release Hill very soon as he is out of options. Although, they might keep him and send Soto back down. It will be interesting to see what move is made.

Now if only the bozo's on baseball tonight will get the details right and quit saying it was marshall traded instead of bowen! Jeez...they were covering the cubs game when the deal was made, so they got first hand info on it and STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT!

It's even on the ESPN website....Jason Kendall for Rob Bowen and JERRY BLEVINS...where are they getting Marshall?

They corrected it on BBTN just now. Kendall for Bowen and Blevins.

Now they got it right. Sounds like maybe Marshall's family may have put in a call to the station......

He definately isn't the player he once was, but no doubt he's an upgrade. I think they might keep Hill for a little longer, but his days are definately numbered in Chicago.
