2009 Schedule released

The Cubs will open the 2009 season undercover.
Chicago will begin next season under the roof at Minute Maid Park on April 6-8 to play the Houston Astros, then travels to Milwaukee for a series April 10-12. The April 10 game is the Brewers' home opener.

Chicago's home opener will be April 13 against Colorado, which kicks off a nine-game homestand against the Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals (April 16-19) and Cincinnati Reds (April 21-23).

The Cubs will play host to their intracity rivals, the White Sox, on June 16-18, and travel down Lake Shore Drive to U.S. Cellular Field to continue the Interleague series June 26-28.

In 2009, the Cubs will face the American League Central in Interleague Play and all of the games have been linked together in a 15-game stretch, beginning June 12 when the Minnesota Twins come to Wrigley Field for a three-game series. After the first set against the White Sox, the Cleveland Indians will visit Wrigley Field on June 19-21. The Cubs then travel to Detroit to play the Tigers, June 23-25, and finish with the road series versus the White Sox.

The Cubs will play host to the St. Louis Cardinals July 10-12 before the All-Star break. The Cardinals host the Midsummer Classic July 14 at Busch Stadium.

Chicago will close the 2009 season at home with a six-game stretch Sept. 29-Oct. 1 against Pittsburgh and Oct. 2-4 against Arizona.
