Honestly, Lee, I'm not sure. I do remember after meeting Billy Williams and shaking his hand, looking at my dad and asking him if this was real? He just laughed at me! I must have looked like I was in total shock because Tom Ricketts kept coming over to ask if I was still okay! LOL! They didn't tell us exactly what was going to happen as far as the order of events, I guess in my mind I thought we would throw it out then go up to our seats for the Anthem and the lineups. When they started to announce the Pirates, I turned toward the field and all I could think of was "Damn, I left my camera in the stands!". The "on field" pictures I took with my phone. When we got out to the mound, and turned around it was Kerry standing there, it was just like the movie "For the Love of the Game"... I had NO awareness of the people in the stands or the fact we were on TV... it was just us and Kerry at the other side of the plate and hoping my son was going to be able to throw it that far! He and I had just watched on Thursday the top 10 worst Opening Day first pitches on YouTube! LOL!
Baseball season's underway...
So you'd better get ready for a brand new day
Hey Chicago whattya say?
