I like Fox, but he is what he is.
Good move Jim

Just to clarify, I meant Jake Fox, not Chad Fox, if anyone was wondering.
The main guy was the only good one we got out of that, and he gave up 7 runs in his last 5 relief appearances.

Jake Fox hit 246/315/431 in August and 167/231/250 in September
Not trying to argue, but guys like Jake Fox and Matt Murton (corner OF LHP mashers) are floating around everywhere.
I'm just head over heels happy about getting rid of the King of the lollipop guild.
BTW a potential acquisition of Pat Burrell makes Jake Fox more or less irrelevant.

I think I read they might try to trade Burrell for someone cheaper even if they did get him.

Burrell would be traded elsewhere if Cubs get him for Bradley.
Fox is a DH, and has holes inhis swing. They could be corrected, but he isnt a spring chicken, and they got something for him. I wish him luck

I think Fox fell victim to Lou's Doghouse in September. It showed when Scales was getting all the starts in LF. Personally, I'm fed up with Lou's Doghouse. It's his job to make the players he has into the best that they can be. Instead he whines about what he doesn't have. It's time for the old man to go away.

My wife was mad about Fox getting traded, " They get rid of all of the guys I like " . I told her the reason the get rid of them is because others like them too and we can actually get something back for them.
What is going to be ugly is when Fox does well and everyone will be freaking out about him being so good and us dumping him. Of course no one will even think that the reason he is doing well is because their system was able to put him in situations to succeed. Voodoo Lou won't ever do that he will just try to plug people into his tired idea of what his team should be then just lament that he doesn't have the right guys and never once address his thinking. He will be putting guys in lead and positions on the reasoning they look like this kind of player and not due to their specific skill set or attitude.
I need to stop because this will turn into my usual rant against Lou.

I don't see Fox as being any different than Matt Murton
You can pick up guys like that off the street.

You are right but the AL allows you to hide the flaws as much as you can show the good , and it may give the appearance of him being Jake Ruth.
