Chad Tracy

just had another 4 for 4 day with Iowa, and still simply tearing it up! I see Rammy heading to the DL and them bringing up the hot bat....he's batting .396 with 5 homers since going down there...and 18 RBI's!!!!!

Yeah, I was just thinking to myself that what this team is sorely missing, is the imposing bat of the great Chad Tracy. We are sure to be on our way to first place once he's manning 3B everyday!

That's how you illustrate sarcasm, Bock....take notes.

they have to do something offensively, and if going with the "hot bat" is that "something", I'm all for it.

I'm with you on that Heather. I thought this move should have been made three weeks ago. Ramirez has hurt the team for the entire season, but the longer he stayed active it would force Piniella to bat him cleanup. Now, maybe Rami can work on getting himself back to what he has been before. At least the Cubs have some insurance at 3B with Tracy unlike last season.

I can't hurt , unless he is like Colvin and comes out hitting the cover off the ball. This of course will lead to Lou talking about how he can get him in the line up everyday and still be " fair ". Then he will promptly let Tracy sit on the bench for a month or two only seeing an occasional late inning double switch.

btw. that was McGeehee-haa-haa-hee-hee that hit the game winning RBI last night. I am so glad he is not a difference maker on the Brewers. ( how was that for sarcasm ? )

Most of the baseball ignorant will blame Tracy for the bad throw to Soto that ended up scoring the winning run.

Actually it goes to Soto. He should have never thrown the ball back to Tracy. When you have a run-down from third to home , the third baseman drives the runner half way to home then shuttles the ball to the catcher. The Catcher then runs and tags the runner and not risk another throw. That way if the play fails the runner is left on third and not crossing home plate. A Little League defensive play.
