Warm Fuzzies

I have reached my negativity level. If I keep going any farther down that road , I fear I will shut off my television for the season.

I decided to look at some of the good things I see.

There is one far and above everything else good on this team that promises to bring me much joy this year , Marlon Byrd

Damn this guy is a joy to watch play. He has the best baseball acumen I have seen forever. That slide into home was much like Bob said , " Pete Rose like " . Everything this guy does is text-book-baseball ! Everything from his break on a fly ball , to his positioning after the catch , his base running and his hitting.
The beauty of his hitting is he knows his role in each hitting spot you put him in. You hit him five he covers the plate makes good contact and drives the ball. You hit him in the two spot he will shorten his swing put the ball behind the runner or even bunt. You put this guy in the four hole and he takes broad swings and hits for power.

He is the best put together ball player this club has seen in many a year.

I wish we could play music when they came up to bat.

Couldn't you just hear the place going nuts when he comes up to the plate and you hear " Surfin Bird " by The Trashmen blasting Wrigley

Speaking of such things , have you seen Pujols ? He looks like a normal human being now . He has to be down 45 lbs. and about 8 inches narrower at the hip.

Hummm , wonder why he's not so puffy ?

First , Ted looked good . He didn't have his best stuff but , made everything he did have work for him. You have to love the tough mindset this guy brings. We have real good pitchers.

Second Rammy got an RBI . Granted it was off Davis and not the prettiest but a start.

Yeah, they were just Bushwacking today. He's out after 3 2/3 innings, allowing nine runs so far.
