Eyre taken to the hospital!

Quote:
Reliever Scott Eyre was wheeled out of the Cub clubhouse on a stretcher and taken to the hospital via ambulance for intravenous fluids after Saturday's game. He was weak after complaining of flu-like symptoms and was expected back for Sunday's game.
from chicagosports.com....

Wow.... when freak injuries hit the Cubs...they come in bunches, don't they? Hopefully he is okay. In all of Friday's mess, he was also overlooked... he came in and struck out the side, too. After a couple of shaky starts, I was impressed by Eyre on Friday afternoon, which, at that time, it was hard for anything to impress me!
