such as Casey McGhee (Brewers), DeRosa, Wuertz, Eyre (who ended up on the DL and has had his issues, but he still has a ring),

DeRosa and Wuertz at least have some talent

McGehee wasn't even a full-time starter at Iowa and his minor league #s are pretty crappy.

The Marquis trade was a always a bad one.

I actually watched Marquis last night some. He looked as good as I have ever seen him. His mechanics looked they had been tweaked some. Maddux always said that he had the talent to be a CY Young type of P. Then again he was always a P that had a good first half.

My anger upon hearing this was tempered by the fact that DeRosa is going on the DL

I feel sorry for DeRosa (who knows what this means for him at this stage of his career), but it's about @#@#$#@$ time something doesn't go the Cardinals way for once.
