Step forward: Soto, Castro, Wells, Barney, Grabow, Peana
Right on about Wells , best record of all Cubs starters.

The above post is the perfect example of your lack of baseball knowledge, Lee!

Records mean absolutely NOTHING as it pertains to a starting pitcher. Wells has an ERA over 5, and has had a bad season.

Here's what you are unable to differentiate...

Predictions and trade scenarios are done for the fun of it. Nobody can accurately predict things. Hall of fame baseball writers, sprots analyst, managers, GMs... They can't predict things accurately. To know baseball isn't to predict it... It's to be able to disect and understand that which is happening before you. It's having a tangible stat/number/answer, and being able to productively break it down/highlight its productive performance. You, with statements like "Wells has the Cubs best record" continue to reveal your baseball ignorance. It's idiots like you that make talking baseball impossible. I am by no means a baseball expert... But I am pretty dam good!

Let me give you a few pointers...

NEVER use fielding percentage as a reference to a player's defensive abilities...

NEVER highlight a players win loss record...

Carefully use defensive metics... Most are highly flawed...

Batting average is an overrated stat... As are RBI's

OBP, SLG are use indicators of an offensive players productivity...

SB are a largely underrated stat... As are BB...still!
