The Trade!

I think this was a good trade as far as possible position players for the coveted 2016 line up. Russel has a ton of up value and potential to be a great player. But the infield is now congested on the left side. Bryant looks to be going to play outfield which is a good fit. Second hopefully will be Castro, and Baez going to third. That puts Russel at short. Catcher in my opinion needs to be shored up a lot. I like Castillo back there, but he needs a bit more tuning, maybe the next year and a half will help with that. Starting pitching is still a wonder, and it makes me wonder if Russel was obtained to maybe trade for more pitching since the infield is sooooo over loaded with shortstop/second basement. The pitching we did get in return is no better than the crap we already have in the rotation and will not help a lot in 2016. Either way this is my opinion let the tearing my thoughts apart begin!

I see Russell being flipped for a starting pitcher, next off-season.

Bryant should stick in one of the corner outfield positions...

Alcantara should stick at 2B...

Baez has 3B written all over him...

Castro is now, and will continue to be for the next decade, one of the best SS in baseball. SS is where he will stick.

I'm not sure about that. The errors he is committing on the field still worries me.
