I'm just starting to read it...but some interesting "picks" by the editors of the magazine... of the 7 editors, not one picks the Cubs to win the World Series, but one actually picked the Phillies????? Only one picked Big Z as the NL Cy Young Award winner "if for no other reason than he's so fun to watch"... The Cubs are picked 17th out of 30 in the Power Poll.... all agree that the Yankees should have traded A Rod.... all picked the AL Central as the dominant division in the majors with most saying the NL Central is the weakest... Hopefully this will spark some good baseball talk we all need!

I actually think the NL Central will be pretty good. Not just because of the Cubs, but I think the Astro's will do pretty good too, and the Brewers could do a nice job too.

In the Lindy Magazine, a little more Cub Friendly...

AL manager of the Year--- Joe Torre
NL Manager of the Year--- Lou Pinella

CY Young AL--Halladay
NL--Zambrano

Division Winners--NL Central---yep, they picked the Cubs! (But they pick the Yankees to win it all...)

Lots of info in both of these magazines... each one about 200 pages of nothing but BASEBALL!!!!!!!!

I'm going to pick up some mags this weekend (They have either Yankees or Mets on the cover here, damn regional). I'm still finishing up Baseball America's Prospect Handbook. It's a great read (about 600 pages), if you like to read about tomorrow's stars...

Funny how the "weakest division" has the last three NL champs and the last WS champ. Don't they say that every year?
