A sweep eventhough

Glad we got a 4 game sweep on the road, eventhough its only in the 6th but the Cubs are well ahead. I know its the Nats, but a 4 game sweep isnt that probable- it doesnt matter who it is.

I feel terrible for Riggs though. He finally gets a chance to manage again and he has to put up with this club. Errors, passed balls, wild pitches just terrible baseball. Manny Acta has to be somewhere smiling because he doesnt have to put up with it anymore.

The only thing that Riggs has to look forward too is watching Nyger Morgan play and that rookie that pitched last night. Also he will get a chance to see Dunn hit some of the longest HRs he has ever seen.

worst team in baseball, so im not getting overly excited. however, its great to see us looking like a real team. Best thing this team could have gotten coming out of the break, haeding into a series with the Phils. Lets hope this can keep up

They may have swept the nats, but it doesn't matter who it is, it is really hard to go into someone else's park and sweep them, let alone a 4 game series. The bats woke up, the defense was very good, and the pitching got the job done. Let's carry it to Phillie!

Exactly... no matter the team and how bad they might be - if you sweep a 4 game set in their ballpark it is special... a great way to go to Phillie... GO CUBS!!!

No doubt that was just what the Doctor ordered- the Nats. They actually have some nice players, but their pitching staff is terrible. I wouldnt mind having that LH out of their pen named Burnett.

I heard that it was the first time the Cubs have swept this franchise since 1977 in Montreal.

The Expo's always seemed to be a pain in the Cubs ass. From Bob Bailey, Ron Fairly, and don't forget, "John Boccabella". The only positive thing that came from Montreal was Andre Dawson.

Riggs has the makings of not that bad of a team. He just needs to get his pitchers to a mature level and they won't be that bad.

Actually, it's the fact that the Nats need to learn how to play good baseball, not just winning baseball, but fundamental baseball. They lead MLB in errors and unearned runs allowed.

In thier case , the errors are more of an example of young talent pushing above thier abilities. They take a bad jump and hurry a throw as a result.

They are a triple A team , let's see how we do against a real big league team tonight.
